Gradual slope teatBabies naturally have a wide open mouth when feeding, and when breastfeeding they will take the nipple, areola and a good amount of breast tissue into their mouth. So, when bottle feeding you don't want baby to just suck on the teat like a straw, and you don't want them to try and stretch their mouth round a wide flat base as this can create an air gap and milk spillage or hiccups. Our gradual slope teat is carefully shaped to allow baby to take in a natural amount of the soft silicone teat, creating a perfect suction seal and filling their mouth in a similar way to breast tissue for a proper latch. 
Slow flowBreastfeeding takes time and babies have to actively suck to get the milk, so breastfeeding experts recommend using a slow flow teat to keep that natural and comfortable pace when using a bottle.
